Senate RINO’s Line Up Behind Mueller in War with Trump

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has become the darling of the Left, which is why they are floating hysterical notions that President Trump is set to fire Mueller whenever any new development in the inquisition against the President occurs.

The President has the absolute right to fire Mueller, just as he had the right to kick former FBI Director James Comey to the curb.

Democrats have been gaining the support of RINOs who are warning the President not to terminate the Special Counsel. The Senate is considering a bill that would protect Mueller, a move which is entirely unconstitutional.

The Chicago Tribune writes that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) is hesitant to go with the idea, but he has not closed the door on the suggestion.

“I haven’t seen clear indication yet that we needed to pass something to keep him from being removed, because I don’t think that’s going to happen.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tx) added, “I think the consequences of doing so are some that not even the president can anticipate. And I think it would be a mistake.”

Even Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) has termed the firing of Mueller an act of political suicide.

The Tribune reports that “Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said she remained confident that Rosenstein would not take steps to terminate Mueller. ‘If the president were to fire the deputy attorney general, that would be an extraordinary crisis and a real problem,’ she said. ‘And I just don’t think he’s going to do it.’

A group of Senators has drawn up a compromise in which Mueller would be given a ten day grace period before he is removed from the Special Counsel position.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was thrilled with that idea.

“I think we’ve got a compromise. But I’m not worried about Mueller being fired,” Graham is quoted as saying.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) has implored Republicans to protect Mueller, House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer added, “We ought to do a lot more.”

It took the clear-headedness of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to address the hypocrisy of the Democrats, the politicized FBI and DOJ and the Deep State.

“Think about the double standard,” Jordan said on Fox News Channel, “Yesterday we had the FBI raid the president’s private attorney’s residence and business. That’s privileged information. And yet when Hillary Clinton had some 60,000 emails, David Kendall had possession of those emails, they got to decide… which ones were personal.”

Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga) exclaimed, “It’s time to get this investigation over. This thing is spiraling out of control.”
