A portion of the media ballyhooed “migrant caravan” has been stopped by U.S. Border Patrol officers from the Yuma Station. The group was halted on April 9 near the San Luis Port of Entry and consisted of 61 illegals; 59 of which were Guatemalans, one was Mexican and one was Salvadoran.
Breitbart writes that upon a deeper investigation of the group found that one of the illegals, 18-year-old Salvadoran Herberth Geovani Argueta-Chavez, was a member of the notorious MS-13 gang. Argueta-Chavez told Border agents that he was a gang member and was on his way to Los Angeles.

U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Justin Kallinger told Breitbart that there has been a significant ‘uptick’ in large groups of illegals trekking to the border. The largest one, which the 61 apprehended belonged to, is said to number 1,500 people and is dubbed the ‘Viacrucis Migrante 2018’.
Kallinger noted that the Yuma Sector has seen “an uptick in larger groups,” mostly from Guatemala and Honduras.
Breitbart also notes that 90 percent of the other 60 illegals were heading to the United States as “family reunites”, giving credence to the claim by immigration control advocates that chain migration is a horrendous amplifier of unvetted criminal aliens.
